General

I was diagnosed in 2003 after a routine blood test as I was always tired,  I have been on watch and wait ever since.  My white count is 230 and I go to the hospital every 8 to 10 weeks, the consultant says treatment is probably imminent.  I keep very healthy although I still get tired, sometimes I think they have got it wrong.  At a meeting of the CLL support group, I was speaking to a gentleman, unfortunately I don't remember his name, and he told me of something he did that made his count go down.  You drink 3 pints of water every morning before you eat anything.  I tried this for 10 weeks, and at my appointment my count went down by 30.  Unfortunately I find it very hard to do, and now I don't do it so regularly, but for anyone out there it is well worth a try.
